Wireless Networks in The Point Neighborhood
This map below is of The Point Neighborhood. This map was created from personal scans that I have done over the past several months. If you have a wireless networkn in your home and don't see any icons on your street, it most likely means that your street hasn't been scanned. As a service to our neighbors, if you would like your home or neighborhood scanned (or re-scanned) for free (no obligation) please send an eMail to Scott Gillis requesting a scan, we will try to have it completed within a week of the request.

Securing Your Wireless Network
Red triangles are Unsecured (open) wireless networks (open to hackers).
Green triangles are Secured (closed) wireless networks (closed to hackers).
Remember
If you have an open (unsecured) wireless network, your neighbors or anyone driving past your house with a laptop might be able to access anything on all the computers in your house.

When reading the maps, keep in mind that the mark is where the wireless signal was picked up, not where the access point is. Depending on the device you have, you could be transmitting it's presence up to 1/4 mile away.
(the mark for my house shows up 2 blocks away from my house)
