Scott Gillis has been involved in the computer industry for over 25 years, and is currently employed full time as a systems administrator for a Car Dealership in Maryland. Scott's responsibilities system administration for 9 file servers (Windows & Linux), and over 120 workstations (including remote laptops), corporate network security, IP telephony (Cisco IP phone system), local & wide area network design and maintenance, database development & graphics design.

Scott Gillis has done Computer Support and Consulting part time as "Gillis Enterprises" supporting businesses & home computer systems in the Baltimore/Washington area for over 15 years. Since moving to Edgewater in 2004 Scott is providing his services to businesses & home users in the Edgewater area.

With the growing problem of Hackers, SpyWare, Viruses and Spam, going on-line is not as simple as plugging in your modem (like it was 3 years ago). Today things are different, if you do not protect your computer (or network) BEFORE you connect to the internet you are at risk. As far as the adware/spyware/Malware industry is concerned, you may be the one that plunked down over $1,000.00 at your local consumer electronics store to purchase your PC. But they will own it the first chance they get if you don't protect yourself. They'll do whatever can to take control of your computer,and , and you won't get a say in the matter. The utter "ballsy-ness" of what they do will astonish you.
